Career Pathways
What are Pathways? Career Pathways show students a direct connection between doing well in high school and being able to transition smoothly to postsecondary opportunities or getting a good job when they graduate. Students who focus on a Career Pathway acquire the skills necessary for entry into well-paid careers with high potential for rapid financial growth, increased levels of responsibility, and a high degree of personal satisfaction.
Utah Career Pathways align with and are categorized by the national Career Clusters®. Each Career Pathway culminates in an industry recognized credential of value.

Concurrent Enrollment Pilot courses available for the 2018-19 school year:
There will be new concurrent enrollment for the 2018-19 school year. These are pilot courses that may or may not be available after. So, when scheduling your courses for the 2018-19 school year, take these courses into consideration as this may be your only chance to experience them at Corner Canyon. The courses available will be:

CTE SUCCESS STORIES
FIVE students at Corner Canyon High School have been accepted as finalists for the upcoming Freshwood woodworking competition in Las Vegas, Nevada, on July 20-22, 2017. Freshwood is a national competition held only every two years and accepts only 18 high school students from the US and Canada. Congratulations these fine students and their work! These students have been in Mr. McNeill's Woodworking program.

Freshwood student design competition is sponsored by the Association of Woodworking and Furnishing Suppliers (AWFS) every two years in Las Vegas, Nevada http://awfsfair.org/. The competition accepts submissions from secondary and post- secondary schools in the United States and Canada. It is the largest reaching competition of its type. Submissions are pre-juried by a group of industry professionals. 3 finalists in 6 categories are chosen from both secondary and post-secondary schools. Finalists and their instructors receive free airfare, hotel accommodations, and tickets to the AWFS Fair Convention at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Their project is shipped free of charge to the show. They may receive cash awards at the show- 1st place $1,000, 2nd place $600, 3rd place $250. Students are exposed to the woodworking industry on a very large scale. The AWFS Fair is the gathering of 30,000 industry professionals and schools from the US and Canada. Finalists will be able to network, see innovations in tools and machinery, and take a variety of classes.
