Scholarship Opportunities
Scholarships are financial awards that help cover the costs of higher education and do not require repayment, often referred to as "free money." These scholarships can be granted based on a wide range of factors, such as academic performance, personal achievements, hobbies, talents, group memberships, or career goals. They can be offered by federal and state governments, large corporations, local businesses, professional organizations, universities, and even individuals. Each scholarship has specific requirements that applicants need to meet. You can begin your search—and your applications—anytime. Some scholarships are available to high school juniors, or even sophomores and freshmen. It makes sense to start early, since much of your extra time in your senior year will be taken up with college applications. Pay close attention to the deadlines and requirements for each scholarship!
