SAT & PSAT Tests

SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) -  a national college entrance examination that tests your knowledge of reading, writing and math.  Most students take the SAT during their junior or senior year of high school, and colleges and universities use the SAT to make admission decisions.  This test is NOT given at CCHS but at test sites throughout Utah.  This test requires a fee.  To register for SAT Test, go to www.sat.collegeboard.org

PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary Scholastic Assessment Test) - Given in the fall at CCHS this test assesses the critical reading, mathematics, and writing skills students need for college and beyond.  The PSAT/NMSQT helps students become college ready by providing detailed feedback on skills, access to scholarships and personalized online tools, data on AP Potential, and excellent practice for the SAT.  Students who take the PSAT/NMSQT during their Junior year and receive a top score may qualify for the National Merit Scholarship.  This test requires a fee.  The PSAT/NMSQT is only given once each year.  The test is always in October.  The next test will be given Wednesday, October 16, 2019.
