Dell Scholars Program
While many students dream of obtaining a college degree, life sometimes gets in the way - particularly for those dealing with personal responsibilities at home or in their communities. The Michael & Susan Dell Foundation created the Dell Scholars program with the understanding that it takes more than financial help to support students to college graduation. From the start, Dell Scholars was designed as a college completion program that offers support services that go beyond a scholarship check. Criteria: Plan to enroll full-time at an accredited higher education institution in the pursuit of a bachelor's degree in the fall directly following high school graduation; Be eligible to receive a federal Pell Grant in first year of college; Demonstrate a need for financial assistance: Earn a minimum of a 2.4 GPA: Be on track to graduate from an accredited high school in the current academic year. 2020 National Space Club and Foundation Keynote Scholar Application
The National Space Club and Foundation has offered the opportunity for a student to give the keynote address at the National Space Club and Foundation's annual Goddard Memorial Dinner, one of the space industry's most prestigious gatherings. The student must intend to pursue a career in the Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) fields, be academically strong and excel in public speaking. In addition to speaking at the Goddard Memorial Dinner, the individual selected will also receive a scholarship, in the amount of $10,000. This scholarship is awarded to a U.S. citizen, and is open to seniors in High School through graduate students studying at an accredited educational institution in the United States, who has definite plans to pursue a career in the STEM fields. Comcast Leaders and Achievers
800 scholarships for the 2020 – 2021 school year in amount of $2,500. Select number of awardees will also be chosen as recipients of a Founder’s Award. Must have a demonstrated commitment to community service, outstanding qualities in character, integrity and leadership; be enrolled as a high school senior; reside in a community served by Comcast; plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical college in the United States for the entire 2019-2020 academic year; have a minimum GPA of 3.0; demonstrate financial need. Teach us something; Clear, creative, accurate, and a demonstration of your passion for the subject. Your video doesn't need to be fancy or high–tech. Production value is not a factor; Three minutes or less in length; About any STEM topic, not necessarily your field of study; Scientifically accurate. We encourage you to cite sources you use to research your topic; Uploaded to YouTube and marked ‘public.’ It should be accessible to the general public and could, but doesn't have to be, targeted at young students. Foot Locker Scholar Athletes Program
This scholarship is open to U.S. high school seniors who are currently involved in high school or after-school sports. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Burger King Scholars Program
Created in memory of BURGER KING® Co-founder James “Jim” W. McLamore, the BURGER KING℠ Scholars program has awarded $35 million in scholarships to more than 33,000 high school students, BK® employees and their families across the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico since 2000. Scholarship grants range from $1,000 to $50,000 and are intended to help students offset the cost of attending college or post-secondary vocational/technical school. Recipients are selected based on their grade point average (GPA), work experience, extracurricular activities and community service. 2019 Profile in Courage Essay Contest
The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation invites U.S. high school students to describe and analyze an act of political courage by a U.S. elected official who served during or after 1917, the year John F. Kennedy was born. The contest is open to United States high school students in grades nine through twelve attending public, private, parochial, or home schools; US students under the age of twenty enrolled in a high school correspondence/GED program; and US citizens attending schools overseas. The first-place winner receives $10,000. Second-place receives $3,000. Five finalists receive $1,000 each. Eight semifinalists receive $100 each. For more information, click here. Weber State Entrepreneurs Association
High School Jumpstart Competition is a business competition open to all students attending high school in the state of Utah (grades 9-12). Individuals or teams can submit entries. The competition fosters and promotes business growth at the high school level by giving students a chance to organize, direct, and present a business idea to a panel of expert judges. This contest provides teams with an educational forum to prepare them for the competition and will aid them in the creation and implementation of their business plan. A cash prize of $1,000 ($500 in scholarship to Weber State University) will be awarded to the team judged to have presented the most plausible and promising business idea or opportunity. Cash prizes of $750 ($500 in scholarship to Weber State University) and $625 ($500 in scholarship to Weber State University) will be awarded to the 2nd and 3rd place individuals, respectively. Washington Crossing Foundation Scholarship Awards
These awards are for students completing twelfth grade (or final high school year) in 2020 who are planning careers in government service. We invite you to explore our web site, www.gwcf.org, which contains all of the information candidates should require to prepare and submit an application. Each interested student is invited to write a one-page essay stating why he or she plans a career in government service including any inspiration to be derived from the leadership of George Washington in his famous crossing of the Delaware. The student must confine the essay to viewpoint, attitude and purpose in choice of career. Deadline is January 15th.
The Coolidge Scholarship
The Coolidge Scholarship is an annually awarded, full-ride, presidential scholarship that covers a student’s tuition, room, board, and expenses for four years of undergraduate study. The Coolidge may be used by recipients at any accredited American college or university. Anyone of any background, pursuing any academic discipline of study, may apply to this non-partisan, need-blind, program. Students apply for the Coolidge Scholarship during their junior year of high school. Students need to show academic excellence. They should demonstrated interest in public policy; an appreciation for the values Coolidge championed; as well as humility and service. Deadline is January 16th. Anne Ford and Allegra Ford Scholarships for Learning Disabilities
Applicants must have a GPA 3.0+, demonstrate financial need, show documentation of an identified learning disability (ADD/ADHD alone is not considered a learning disability), be a US citizen, and intend to pursue a 4-year undergraduate degree. APIA Scholars provides scholarships to underserved APIA students with a special focus on those who: Live at or below the poverty level, or are otherwise of low socioeconomic status; Are the first in their families to attend college; Are representative of the APIA community’s diversity, (geographically and ethnically}, especially those ethnicities that have been underrepresented on college campuses due to limited access and opportunity; and Have placed a strong emphasis on community service and leadership as well as solid academic achievement. 2019 National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association Scholar/Essay Application
The scholarships will recognize the distinguished scholastic, leadership, and citizenship attributes of high school student athletes, and the importance of high school athletics in each student’s life. Applicant must be a Senior; Applicant must have achieved at least two (2) of the following: minimum of B+ average; Ranked in the top 25% of class;ACT score of 24 or an SAT score of 1100 (Math and Reading); Applicant must have participated in two sports for at least two years in each sport; Applicant must have earned at least one varsity letter in each of two sports; Applicant must complete attached scholar/essay application. This award is open to all U.S. students who are 13 and older and who are currently enrolled (or enroll no later than fall of 2026) in an accredited postsecondary institution of higher education. One scholarship winner will receive a $1,500 scholarship. All students, regardless of academic merit or financial need, are encouraged to apply. The sponsor is looking for eligible applicants who follow directions and submit applications that are well-written and clearly and creatively address the topic. Students seeking a one-year certificate, or a two-year associate or technical degree or students seeking to be a teacher in a CTE area (four-year program) are eligible to apply.

Salt Lake Community College Incoming Freshmen Scholarships
Incoming Freshmen Scholarships are for students who will be graduating from high school or earning a GED in 2020 or for those who have not previously taken college courses and will not be taking a college course on campus until Fall 2020 (returned missionaries, new adult learners, etc). COMPU Leaders - Computer Science Full Tuition Scholarship Program, University of Utah
The COMPU Leaders scholarship Program offers full-tuition for five or more incoming computer science students demonstrating financial need. This program is designed to support students in their academic and career goals through:
A pre-college bridge program; Mentoring from computer science faculty; Weekly peer group seminars; Leadership roles in the school; Giving back to the community; and Pathways to employment. Davidson Fellows Scholarship
The Davidson Fellows Scholarship awards $50,000, $25,000 and $10,000 scholarships to extraordinary young people, 18 and under, who have completed a significant piece of work. Pathable Scholarship 2020 - Women in Computer Science
Pathable, an event website and mobile conference app developer based in Seattle with offices around the world, is offering its third annual $1,000 scholarship to a female student going into their freshman year of college or a female student who is currently enrolled in a computer science or computer related degree from an accredited university. Huntsman School of Business-Utah State University - Huntsman Scholar Scholarship
Students are selected through a rigorous application process that includes written and video essays and letters of recommendation. Each application is reviewed by at least two program faculty mentors. Selection criteria include academic record, ethical leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, and career focus. Hispanic Scholarship Fund/Wells Fargo Scholarship
Must be of Hispanic Heritage. Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent). Plan to enroll Full-Time in an accredited, not-for-profit, 4-year university, or graduate school, during the FALL of a scholarship cycle (year). U.S. Citizen, Permanent Legal Resident, DACA or Eligible Non-Citizen (as defined by FAFSA). Complete FAFSA or state based financial aid application (if applicable). William Browning Scholarship (University of Utah)
Scholarship Award is $6,000 per year. Up to ten scholarships are awarded annually. Once awarded the scholarship renews for up to 8 semesters with a 3.0 cumulative gpa. Students must major in and follow the program for Mining Engineering. After one year in the program students with a 3.4 cumulative gpa or higher are eligible for the Distinguished Browning Award of $7500 per year. For more information and to apply, please click here. SCAD Challenge Film Competition
For Juniors and Seniors. Put your artistic vision to the test for an opportunity to earn a scholarship to SCAD, The University for Creative Careers. Red Olive Women in STEM $1000 Scholarship
In the 20 years Red Olive has been in business you can count on one hand how many female programmers have applied vs hundreds of males. Only 17% of computer science graduates are women which is troubling. Combine that with the fact that the United States is not producing near enough programmers to compete globally against China and India, and you have a problem in our industry. We clearly don’t have all the answers here, however we can try to help in our own small way.
The applicant must be a Female majoring in Stem Related Field (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Statistics, etc.). Must be currently enrolled or planning a fully accredited university. To apply, submit an 800 word essay on How You Plan to Make the Future Better with Technology. Deadline is August 1st.
