Youthlinc is a non-profit organization that provides opportunities for Utah's youth to get involved in local and international humanitarian service. Here is a list of local volunteer opportunities.
Assisteens® of Salt Lake City, a volunteer teen service group open to grades 7-12, is an auxiliary of Assistance League of Salt Lake City.

If you like to be challenged and want to get involved, this is a great program for you. Earning the Award requires you to set and reach goals in four areas: Voluntary Public Service; Personal Development; Physical Fitness; and Expedition/Exploration.

The purpose of the Utah Commission on Service and Volunteerism is to enable individuals, communities, and organizations in Utah to benefit from the service, power, skills, and passion of volunteers. They have partnered with JustServe.org where you can search for volunteer opportunities by zip code.
Intermountain Healthcare at times has volunteer positions for high school students. Those include helping out at the guest services desk, volunteering at the gift shop, playing music in hospital lobbies, and more. Please note that there are "limited opportunities for Jr. Volunteers age 14-17."
