Assisteens® of Salt Lake City, a volunteer teen service group open to grades 7-12, is an auxiliary of Assistance League of Salt Lake City.
Assisteens supports many of the philanthropic programs carried out by Assistance League, but also selects and completes their own service projects within the community such as:
  • Hosting a holiday party with preschoolers at the Boys and Girls Club
  • Assembling Thanksgiving dinner boxes for those transitioning out of homelessness
  • Spending time with residents at a senior center
  • Providing needed supplies for Head Start preschoolers
  • Assembling over 85 bunny baskets for children at a transitional housing center

Intermountain Healthcare at times has volunteer positions for high school students.  Those include helping out at the guest services desk, volunteering at the gift shop, playing music in hospital lobbies, and more.  Please note that there are "limited opportunities for Jr. Volunteers age 14-17."
